Hello Bertie Privacy · Summary

Privacy at a Glance

Privacy at a Glance.

A plain-language summary. Our full Privacy Policy is the complete and legally binding version.

What we collect

Your contact details, the bank and invoice information you connect, your payment instructions, and basic device and usage data.

Why

To run the Service for you — showing your invoices and accounts and making the transfers you ask for — and to keep your account secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal duties.

We never sell your data

We only access your bank data and make payments with your explicit permission, over secure open-banking connections. Your money stays with your bank — we don't hold it.

Who sees it

Your bank, the trusted suppliers that help us run the Service (under strict contracts), and regulators or authorities when the law requires.

How long we keep it

Only as long as needed. Some financial records we must keep for around [5–6] years by law; the rest is deleted or anonymised after your account closes.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data, object to certain uses, withdraw consent, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email [dpo email] and we'll respond within a month.

Keeping it safe

We encrypt your data, require multi-factor authentication, strictly limit who can access it, and monitor our systems continuously. See our Security Statement for more.

Not happy?

Tell us first at [dpo email]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
